Title: Wind Turbine Installation Supervisor / Team Lead (On-Shore Construction)
Installation Technician is responsible for ensuring that manufactures turbines are constructed per approved procedures and are authorised to act in an advisory capacity to manufactures construction contractors to ensure proper installation for all components prior to turbine hand over to the commissioning lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Verify that the work is completed in compliance with customer's requirements.
Document all work performed
Follow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
Supervise the construction of wind turbines
Perform installation inspection of completed turbines
Troubleshoot mechanical problems
Submit progress reports
Liaise with internal and external customers
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have at least 5 - 10 years of WTG installation experience
Must have at least 2 - 4 years of Wind Turbine Installation Supervisor / Team Lead
Be able to operate tools, equipment and instruments
Knowledge of Torqing towers, aligning generators, pulling pucks using torque, slam, and large wrenches
Knowledge of Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting
Experience of cleaning and lubricating on maintenance
All candidates most have full safety training certificates:
Working at heights
1st Aid including CPR
Medical Certificate for working at heights
Must be proficient in:
Installation of major WTG components
Hub prep and staging, blade lifting, handling and torqueing
Rotor Install; Prep and installation
IIP procedure, LOTO and process
